christian sexual puritanianism isn't relevant anymore



i think that this weird zeitgeist where women are whores, sex jokes and your mom jokes are funny (well yes, they are funny but it's because we all have that naive and prude little christian in our hearts), onlyfans is the most degrading thing you can even bank by, people are defined by their bodycounts by midwits who have nothing going on their lives so they care so much about trivial things that literally don't matter because they never had any real hardships in their lives so they have make up problems in order to get attention from other midwits who have deepfried their brains on tiktok, don't really understand what is the cultural context of christian sexual puritanianism. christians were sexual puritanians for a good practical reason, but after sexual revolution which began from invention of birth control pill, it doesn't have any practicality and therefore, you shouldn't feel any guilt if you're sexual being.

i think that the fact that europeans feared sexual "immorality", which back in the day was just, having sex before marriage, was the reason why we europeans are nowadays much better off than let's say, indians or chinese who have billions of people in their country due to their sex positive religions. europeans were prude because it was, and it is today, socioeconomical suicide to have sex with some random dude, you get pregnant, you get baby and you're living with one paycheck. but the thing is that it was the christian sexual puritanianism which kept people out of that scenario. of course if people threatened that you go to hell if you have sex before marriage, you just didn't do it. not because you would even thought about pregnancy (especically as a male) but out of genuine fear of hell. but that's where clergy and monarchy was banking on for good reason, it's expensive to take care of illegitimate children, poor single mothers and in the sense when illegitimate children grow up to adults, they become kind of burden because they have no propety rights due to their illegitimacy. it's hard to be in feudal society without any right to inheritacy or ownership.

marriage in a sense was just a confimation of who manages propety and whom will inherit their part. your relationship and your children are official, not some random people you have had one-nights stands and who claim that they have right to your propety. of course that shit happened a lot, look at the romanov family and how after their murder many people came forward to claim that they were somehow related to the romanovs.

nowadays we have dna tests that can confirm that person is really someone's parent so the role of marriage isn't as important as before. now it's just symbolic. people don't get married as much as before, not even in symbolic sense, because people are too broke to have weddings.

when we have birth control nowadays, there is no good reason to abstain from sex life. you can't get pregnant if you use birth control properly.

so okay, is there anything irresponsible about promiscuity or being just sexual other than potentially getting pregnant and destroy their finances on the side? no.

that's why i am like, these midwits don't understand how ironic it looks when someone shames a woman for promiscuity even though they are responsible and use birth control and they use condom so they can't catch sexually transmitted diseases.

i don't know is it due to the moral panic of abortion among some christians who aren't really good at utilitarist thinking. the chance of misusage of birth control, woman getting pregnant and wanting to have an abort. but i still say that it's more responsible to just have an abortion than give a birth to a baby that will grow up in a poor family and lives shitty life because usually poverty is intergenerational. yes, it is possible to get out of poverty but it requires doing things that their poor parents didn't do like grabbing a book and from whom they would get that proper example? usually, either from nobody or from upper middle-class academic internet users. so, poor people should not reproduce and i say this as a person who grew in poor family. these motherfuckers who preach against abortion, nonetheless don't even help poor people so i can't take them seriously. "yeah if you're poor, don't have children", okay then we poor fucks do abortion. "no don't do abortion you child killer", okay you just said that i we poor fucks shouldn't have any children. still yeah, killing is bad, and they would be much responsible people if they used birth control properly, but shit happens and i think that abortion is ethical
