I liked that when our spineless minister Petteri Orpo "apologized" for the racist outburst in Chinese, Japanese and Korean, East Asians did not warm to the apology and even started wishing that Mr. Putin would come to visit the border. They started calling Finns idiots, wondering how a "model country with good education" could spawn such stupid people and how Finns don't understand their own inferiority when, if they are so good, why can't you find talent, successful businesses or money in Finland?
Asians, keep the same energy up for next decades. Finland is like a narcissistic middle-aged man who never sees anything wrong with himself and never humbles himself, that's the true nature of Finns. They need to get a reality check that they are objectively shit at everything and they should shut up and learn from other people. As a Finn, I can't stand other Finns, we're such a fucking bunch of scum, a stupid and backward nation who deserve all the shit that's come their way.
On top of all that, the entire image of Finland in East Asia is completely romanticized and it conceals the racist, populist and anti-intellectual nature of the real Finnish society. I could even say directly that the image that Finland gives the world about itself is absolutely incredible propaganda and people generally don't question it because it's hard to get opposing voices heard internationally. That's understandable, because the lack of questioning of the whitewashed Finnish image among foreigners is perhaps explained by the language barrier and the fewer people there are, the easier it is to gatekeep the information that you're trying to get out.
Finland is such a country that the only people who "appreciate Asians" at least on some level are millennials and Gen Z people who watch anime and listen to K-pop (and if there are such consumers who are older, they are academically educated researchers because the lower-educated older generation is on average not interested in anything other than Finland and America and they are just that type of uneducated that they don't distinguish China from Japan). On average, if someone non-academic from the older generation was interested in Asians in any way, it would be at most when they bought a porn magazine from a kiosk in the 90s or 2000s, saw Asian models and thought that they could go to Thailand to get themselves a wife "who doesn't complain like a Finnish woman" and are not at all interested in Thai culture.
