person who believes that therapy solve every single fucking problem in the life and the world

i went to therapy for 10 years and i haven't benefited from it at all. wow, i was diagnosed with autism as a child, but did i need therapy after that? no. it's a waste of time. that's why i don't want to hear from anyone that "go to therapy" when i went to therapy for so long and it's clearly not working. oh, you think i'm crazy? crazy is when you do the same thing and expect a different result, therapy doesn't work. then you're crazy, you expect me to get anything out of therapy, even though i've been there for over a decade.

i think that atmosphere should come back where people are visibly offended if someone tells them to go to therapy, because i don't understand at what point people started thinking that it's caring instead of it being blatant manipulation and making people feel crazy when they're told to go to therapy. no, that's when you should cut ties with that person. that person wants you to lower your guard. "go to therapy" is translated as "shut the fuck up, i'm calling you crazy so you'll believe my gaslighting and stop talking. i'm out of intellectual arguments, so i'm going to get personal and i'd like you to have no autonomy in the discussion, but instead we could patronize you like an animal who have nothing in their head." i have an easy solution to be beware of gaslighters too. if a person is poorly educated, i simply don't listen to them. people who have phd, on average, understand that psychology is an overvalued business that is just a vassal of neoliberalism and not calling others crazy if arguments run out. if you run out of arguments, instead of calling others crazy, you should go to the library more often, not just to hang out, but to read a fucking book.

therapy culture is marketing, that exploits marginalized and vulnerable people. of course all therapists want you to go to therapy. it's the easiest thing in the world to pretend to listen for 80-200€ an hour. they get a bonus when they give you medication. medication is no different from drugs or alcohol, they don't help for the same reason, you have to get to the root cause and not numb your mind with mind-altering substances. medication is nothing more than a superficial band-aid alongside a larger causation that needs to be addressed. they don't do that because if they told you the real reason for your discomfort, they wouldn't get any easy money when you go to their therapy.

i laugh when people in therapy say "it helped me!" because okay, if you're a person who can nowadays even afford to go to therapy, then you don't have any real problems in life. rich people don't have problems, period. if you can't figure out how to use your money to maximize your happiness, it's not because you have mental health problems, it's because you're not creative enough to figure it out. however, it seems more like the rich will eventually figure this out, but even after that, they think it's because of therapy, and not because they became more creative with money.
