"why there is no third places for young people and why there is hostile architecture?"



So, my local shopping mall removed all the concrete benches and added this sign to the pillar. My locals are so class unconscious that they always complain “why all concrete benches are always removed?” and I am like, either you are the same exact people who are the reason why those benches are removed in the first place or just blind.

This is called hostile architecture; its purpose is to keep the drunk people and offspring of trashy low-class irresponsible parents out of place. Like, no fucking body likes you. And this sign shows the rules, and the reason why the rules are there in the first place, is because these trashy people aren’t proper people and does everything that this sign tells them to not to do as if it wouldn’t be self-explanatory without this sign.

This also goes into the fact that I’ve heard many times how “there isn’t a lot of third places for youth” and I am like, yeah because that youth is trashy youth that nobody likes for a good reason and ironically, they will be the same drunkards and junkies as adults who now are with them in those same spaces. Yeah, the reason why junkies and drunkards get so along with youth is because they are so regressed as adults. They have nothing common with normal adults. They are mentally teenagers.

“Yeah, but should those young people be out of those trashy places and come to third places so they would not end up like their adult company full of junkies?” do you know what proper young people do? They are in home doing their homework, studying, watching movies, listening to music, doing sensible projects in their homes, having a proper hobby. They do something sensible and aren’t in city wandering around, screwing everything up and chit-chatting with junkies that pay them to do crimes that will give them criminal record that will ruin their future. They are doing things that are useful for them in future.

In short, proper young study in their homes, trashy teens need “third places”. Only third place that proper youth would ever go, is the Church, the last bastion of sustainable values, but that’s it.

Those who once held third places eventually understood that these young people could never be prevented from being marginalized. No matter how much effort you put into raising them, if their parents don't, it's up to them. They must grow up nonetheless, no matter how dysfunctional their parents are.

I can hear in distance how some middle-class performative leftists would argue “yeah umm, hobbies cost money???” no they don’t. And I say this as a person who grew up in poor working-class family and went to academic world. There is plenty of free hobbies and free resources that will teach useful things. The only reason why they don’t have hobbies is because self-improvement always requires patience and humility and they never have either of them. Learning is the most important thing in life because it would grow them as people, and no aspect in their life focuses on that. Their whole family is in that position just because they have intergenerational anti-intellectual attitude to everything.

Yeah, responsible parents would just shelter their children to study and only instance where they would go outside, is when they are travelling in good area. But the most responsible thing would still be moving to good area and go to good school, so there wouldn’t be a need for sheltering.

In case of adult trash people, I think that hostile architecture is good way of telling their place. Like, if you don’t put your shit together, your life will be uncomfortable. I’d rather stop using drugs and drinking alcohol than be in freezing climate or sleeping on floor. But these people are so stupid that they’ll still use drugs and drink alcohol even if they would be electrocuted every time, they take a sip or prick with a needle.

I hate the adults more because okay, the only reason why I am so neurotic of charging my phone to 100% before I ever leave anywhere, is because yeah ok sure, I once lost my phone because I couldn't find it with "Find My Device" because phone's battery was 0 %, but especially because I fucking fear these people. Okay, what would I do if these junkies came and jumped me? I would record them with my phone. Either with camera or audio recorder. I would use audio recorder if they would start threatening me on bus stop if I don’t give them money so they can drink or prick it away. This is the same reason why I always buy energy drink with bottle packaging and carry the bottle with me full of energy drink because it’s my legal self-defence weapon (because guess what, Finland hardened the punishment of carrying knife from 100-200€ fine to year imprisonment, so you can’t have any proper self-defence against this scum if you get jumped by them). And okay, why I should do these safety measures? Ah! Right! Just because some fucking manchild who have no proper coping skills that he should’ve learned during the decades he have lived on this mother earth is so fucking bitter to proper people who took responsibility of their lives as if it’s their fault and their problems that these manchildren are fucking pathetic junkie drunkard drug addict losers.

“Oh, why we let drug addicts die?”, it’s because you have luxury beliefs. You have no fucking idea what is like to live in junkie shithole city. For you, "drug addicts" is just some abstract concept that you want to twiddle, but for us, they affect our safety. So yeah, I don’t give a shit of them dying. If they keep living, they make our lives unsafe.

But what am I complaining? I should just get my own shit together by seeking academic validation so I can move the fuck out of this place and country full of fucking trashy people. And here you go, this is why social segregation is a thing. Nobody fucking likes you and want to leave into better places by upward social mobility that is acquired by educating yourself academically and having lifelong commitment to learning and doing sensible shit.
